At Dypnosis, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data.

Welcome to Dypnosis (dypnosis.com). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your data when you use our AI-powered personalized hypnosis services.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We will only use your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

We collect different types of information to provide and improve our services:

Account Information

  • Name, email address and profile picture from your sign-in (via Clerk)
  • Your plan, subscription status and how many sessions you have created
  • Payment details are entered with and held by Stripe; we do not receive or store your card number

Session Content

  • The programme you choose and your answers to its questions. These can describe sensitive topics such as smoking, alcohol, eating, sleep, stress or relationships
  • The voice you choose, and the script and audio created for you
  • Technical generation records (for example which steps ran and whether they succeeded), without your answers

Feedback and Session Preferences

  • If you answer the optional question after a session: your rating, the options you tick, and any short note you add
  • Preferences learned from the options you tick (for example a voice you liked, or "less imagery"), which you can see, remove or reset on your dashboard
  • When you finish listening to a session, and which sessions you mark as favourites

Usage Data

  • Device and browser information, and pages visited (via Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager)
  • IP addresses in hosting and analytics logs, and an approximate location derived from them by analytics
  • Emails you send us, for example to support@dypnosis.com: your email address and what you write

We use your information for the following purposes:

Service Provision: To generate personalized hypnosis sessions, process your requests, and deliver high-quality audio content
Session Preferences: To shape your next sessions from the feedback options you choose (for example which techniques or style to use more or less). Only these structured preferences are used; your rating and any note are never sent to the AI that writes sessions
Account Management: To create and manage your account, handle authentication, and manage your subscription and session usage
Payment Processing: To handle payments, prevent fraud, and manage subscription billing
Communication: To respond to support requests and send service updates. When you create an account, your name and email address are added to our mailing list (Mailchimp); every email includes an unsubscribe link
Service Improvement: To understand how the service is used and improve it. We do not use your answers, scripts, audio or feedback to train AI models

Your data security is our top priority. We implement comprehensive security measures:

Security Measures

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Sessions are only available to the signed-in account that created them
  • Card details are handled by Stripe and never stored by us
  • Access to our systems is limited and protected by authentication

Data Retention

  • Your sessions stay in your library until you delete them or your account
  • Deleting a session removes its answers, script, audio file, generation records, listening history and feedback
  • Notes added to feedback are deleted after 180 days; learned preferences stay until you remove or reset them
  • Deleting your account removes all your sessions, feedback, preferences and listening history, and your account record. If you had a subscription, your account record is anonymized instead, keeping only the billing reference Stripe needs. Your mailing-list contact is archived
  • Payment records are kept by Stripe as required for billing and accounting

We work with trusted third-party services to provide our platform:

Script Generation (OpenAI)

Your questionnaire answers, without your name or email address, are sent to OpenAI to write your session script.

Voice Generation (Replicate)

The script is sent to Replicate, which runs the MiniMax text-to-speech model to record it in the voice you chose.

Audio Storage (Cloudinary)

Your finished session audio is stored and delivered by Cloudinary.

Authentication (Clerk)

Clerk handles sign-in and account management.

Database (Neon)

Your account record, answers, scripts and session history are stored in our database hosted by Neon.

Payments (Stripe)

Stripe processes subscriptions and payments.

Email (Mailchimp and Google)

Mailchimp manages our mailing list. Emails you send to support@dypnosis.com are received and stored in our Google email account (Gmail).

Analytics (Google)

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager help us understand how the website is used.

Hosting (Vercel)

Vercel hosts the website and its servers.

These providers process data on our behalf to provide the service, and some of them are located outside your country, including in the United States.

Dypnosis is designed for adults.

  • We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13
  • If you believe a child has used the service, contact us and we will delete their data

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements:

  • The date at the top of this page shows when it last changed
  • For material changes, we will also let account holders know by email or with a notice on the website
